Johannes Trapl - UNI6 2023
Carnuntum | rosé, dry |
Refined dry rosé with rich fruitiness.
This Austrian cuvée of the Blaufränkisch and Sankt Lauren varieties will win you over with its gloriously vibrant colour, slightly fizzy. Is it a light red or a dark rosé? That's the question. The main thing is that you will enjoy its crisp dryness and the aromatic richness of cranberries, cherries and rhubarb.
Johannes Trapl says he works where heaven and earth meet.
However, the map shows the small village of Stixneusiedl in the Lower Austrian Carnuntum wine region, where Johannes returned in 2000 from a wine internship in California. At first he got to know the surrounding wineries and finally received from his father a half-hectare vineyard where he could do what he wanted - according to biodynamic principles and in cooperation with nature. His vineyards are literally alive, teeming with sheep and hens, and most of the work is done by Johannes and his wife Melanie, while precision and order reigns over the cellar. And the result? Unique wine in each barrel.
