Hola, amigos!
We invite you to a unique tasting with the Spanish winery Península Vinicultores—if you shop with us regularly, you’ve likely already come across their wines. Their iconic labels featuring sheep, circular motifs (also with sheep), or wines from other series are hard to miss!
Coming all the way from Castilla, Klaus Andersen will personally introduce the winery and its fascinating story. It all started something like this: "A group of Spanish grape growers met up near Madrid with Masters of Wine and a naturalized Dane, and together they created a vision for the best sustainable winery in the region."
Península is located on a high-altitude plateau south of Madrid, where the elevation and overall climate help preserve the freshness of the wines. This results in bottles full of vibrant juiciness and serious structure—a rare feat in the hot conditions of central Spain. And because Castilla isn’t among the world’s most overhyped wine regions, it still offers an incredible price-to-quality ratio.
Throughout the evening, we’ll explore a diverse selection of wines in different styles, while the curious among us can listen to Klaus as he shares all the insights they want to know. At the end of the event, you’ll also have the opportunity to purchase wines at special prices.
