Jean-François Ganevat - Chardonnay Montferrand 2015
Jura | white, dry |
If anyone among our winemakers is a real icon of the world of natural wine, it is Jean-François Ganevat.
He is the youngest of 14th generation of consecutive winemakers in a row - his ancestors have been growing vines in Jura since 1650. He gained experience also in the prestigious Domaine Jean-Marc Morey winery, then in 1998 he brought all knowledge to his vineyards, which are in a biodynamic regime completely. Jean-François is a perfectionist and lover of details: “It isn’t about money, it’s a passion. I want to make enjoyable wines without copying anybody. ” In addition to domain wines, he and his sister Anne have been producing wines from the neighboring Beaujolais grapes. His wines have an unmistakable expression and are among the most rare wines in the world.
